Mark and Bronwen, the dynamic duo behind Tonkil Optometrists, have been together since 1993 and married in 2001. They have 3 amazing children and have worked together in Optical related businesses since 1996.
In 1971 Mark’s father Colin opened Tonkil Optometrists Parow at 70 Voortrekker Road, the very spot where it still operates today. Mark started working in the practice over weekends and holidays from the age of 13. In 1995 after qualifying he joined the practice full time and runs this practice today.
In 2018 Mark and Bronwen were presented with the opportunity to buy the Sea Point based practice of a well-respected colleague, Stanley Abramson. They now also continue to serve the community of the Atlantic Seaboard, serviced by Stanley for
over 30 years.
