Bronwen Tonkil

Bronwen has always had a passion for fashion and began her studies with the intention of going into the clothing industry. She changed direction after her first year of study and completed her diploma in Retail Business Management at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. After starting out with a major clothing retailer she joined Mark in his Optical ventures in 1996 as an Optical Representative.

She married Mark in 2001 and managed the Optical Wholesale Company for many years where she would travel, liaise with customers and put together spectacle ranges. She left Optics after the birth of her 3rd child to concentrate on her family and other interests and returned to Tonkil Optometrists in 2018.

Bronwen has a flair for eyewear fashion trends and uses her wealth of buying experience to curate the range of spectacle frames and sunglasses offered at the practice. Bronwen has a knack for knowing exactly what frame will look best on a patient.

Bronwen is an animal lover and has 2 dogs, 4 cats, 7 fish (and 3 kids). She loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys being creative.
